Cosmetology Practical Examination Refresher
Course Description
This class is for anyone who has completed a 1,000 hour NYS approved cosmetology program and wants additional practice before taking the practical portion of the New York State Cosmetology Practical Exam. The class will include instruction in the practices and procedures required for the practical exam, including, but not limited to sanitation, haircutting, blow dry and thermal iron, roller placement, finger waving, foiling, chemical relaxer, kit packing and kit preparation for the exam. Students are expected to bring their own kit. A description of the kit can be found here. Please review the list carefully. If you need a kit, one will be ordered for you. The price of the kit is $243 and it will be added to your fees. Gel and Cholesterol will be provided in the class. Students must submit proof of completion of an approved cosmetology program with their application. Students cannot be enrolled without this documentation.
