Do you want a chance to display your artwork at Schodack Island State Park? Questar III and the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation are partnering for a special student art exhibit at the park, and we are looking for artwork from students in Pre-K through Grade 12. The exhibit will run for a year – and will become an annual event to highlight student work.

The exhibition will center on the park’s cultural history, recreational opportunities and natural beauty. A portion of the park includes a bird conservation area home to bald eagles, cerulean warblers and blue herons. Eight miles of trails wind through a variety of ecological communities.

Entries are due May 1st and must fit inside a weatherproof display case measuring 24”x36”x6”. Electricity is not available in display cases.

Submission Guidelines:

-Up to three pieces of student work may be submitted from each school
-Entries may include 2D or 3D objects
-All entries must be related to Schodack Island State Park’s natural history, cultural history, recreational opportunities or natural beauty.
-A completed label must be attached to each piece
-Entries must be submitted by May 1.
