Reminder: 2018-19 IDEA Grant Application & Maintenance of Effort (MOE) Calculator for 2018-19 Budget is Due July 10th 

IDEA Grant Application and Maintenance of Effort (MOE) Calculator for 2018-19 Section 611 and Section 619 grants is available and due by Monday, July 10th.  The 2018-19 IDEA Grant Application and instructions to complete the application can be found here: http://www.p12.nysed.gov/specialed/finance/home.html.  In order to be eligible to receive IDEA grant awards for the 2018-19 school year, an application must be submitted along with the MOE Calculator demonstrating that the district has met at least one out of the four eligibility standards for the 2018-19 budget.

Linked below you will find an updated excel template which could be used to complete the MOE calculator.  You will also find a document which contains helpful tips for completing the excel template and the MOE calculator.  The updated MOE Calculator should be submitted to SED for approval via email using the following email address: idea@nysed.gov.  Be certain to list “2018-19 MOE Eligibility” along with your district name in the subject line.  The IDEA grant application continues to be required to be mailed to the P-12 Administrative Support Group, NYSED, 89 Washington Avenue, Room 2M West EB, Albany, NY 12234 Attention: IDEA GRANTS.

Reminder: MOE Calculator Version 1.2 – Use the MOE Calculator recently approved by SED for 2016-17 Compliance as the basis for this submission and add the additional information required regarding the 2018-19 budget to this same spreadsheet. Each year this spreadsheet will be added to through the 2019-2020 school year to demonstrate the district met the MOE compliance and eligibility standards.

NOTE: Acceptance of IDEA Grant Application and Maintenance of Effort (MOE) Calculator for 2018-19 will be delayed until the 2013-16 LEA MOE Compliance Calculator, 2017-18 Eligibility Standard Calculator, and 2016-17 Compliance Calculator have been reviewed and approved by NYSED.
