Questar III has partnered with Columbia Greene Community College (CGCC) to offer community education courses at the Columbia Greene Educational Center (CGEC).

Taught by Questar III teachers, classes will focus on topics such as welding, culinary and ESOL.

These courses are the first collaboration Questar III has had with CGCC to develop classes that are available to the community.

Robert Bodratti, Director of Community Services at Columbia-Greene Community College whose office oversees the Noncredit Program for the college, is happy with the response for the community education classes.

“The college is very pleased with the progression of this semester’s offerings, and with two dozen students enrolling in partnership offerings to date, the public’s interest in these courses is encouraging and bodes well for the future of our noncredit adult learning opportunities partnership with Questar III,’’ he said.

Christine Perry is the Adult and Continuing Education Recruiter for Questar III. She worked with Bodratti and the teachers to develop the programs.

“We have been offering Community Education programs at both centers for several years, but the collaboration with CGCC has resulted in increased enrollment and awareness of our programs.  Working with Mr. Bodratti and his staff has been a pleasure and I look forward to the continuation of this partnership,” Perry said.

Interested community members can sign up for the classes on CGCC’s website.

The following classes are being offered at CGEC:

  • Computer Skills for ESOL Students
