Culinary arts students catered a breakfast for local business people

Students from Questar III's Introduction to Food Services program catered a breakfast for the Employment Network in March.

Questar III’s Columbia-Greene Educational Center recently hosted the Employment Network’s March meeting. The group meets monthly with Columbia and Greene county agencies that assist adults with disabilities with employment issues.

Questar III staff Christine Perry, Mary Andrus, Sue Strong, Mary Warfel and Pamela Mertz discussed the high school and adult programs offered at the Hudson-based center with attendees. They included representatives from the Mental Health Association of Greene and Columbia Counties, Columbia County DSS, Greene County DSS, Ulster-Greene ARC, Experience Works and Northeast Career Planning.

Chef Peter Desmond, Eleanor Eckholm, Beverly Hofstetter and the Introduction to Food Services students provided a breakfast buffet for the attendees.

The event was organized by Questar III’s Lynn Seftner.
